Travel Strategy for 2023: How I plan on traveling better, smarter and optimizing benefits along the way this year
Issue #1-23 features a look at strategies on how to travel better, smarter and optimize benefits along the way
Welcome to the new year! As we look ahead to all the adventures and travels that await us in the coming year, I feel it's important to make sure that we're doing everything we can to travel better, smarter, and optimize for value. There is no right or wrong way to go about traveling or trying to maximize and optimize your travel value, but there is always a better way.
Whether I’m planning a trip around the world or a quick getaway close to home, my main goal when traveling with my family is to travel better, travel smarter and optimize for value as much as possible.
Optimizing for value can mean many things, but can include saving money on hotel stays, flights, rental cars or other value that can come in the form of time savings, extra benefits like breakfast, room upgrades, lounge access, free checked bags or experiences. For 2023, I have started planning out our trips and am doing my best to optimize our hotel stays, flights and tours we plan on doing in the destinations we plan on visiting.
To give you an idea of things to come, I’ll be discussing some of my travel strategies I use and plan on expanding on the following topics in the coming weeks:
